A Stroker Motor for Kenny Wayne Shepherd

We were contacted to take part in a special buildup for the musician Kenny Wayne Shepherd.  Kenny's "General Lee" will was featured on the cover of Mopar Collectors Guide and on the "RIDES" cable TV program.  We built a 400 stroker motor (500").  This engine actually performed better than the simulation predicted which is unusual.  The design goal was to build a high torque motor that could handle the extra weight of Kenny's "Extreme Lee".  We were hoping for at least 550 HP and 575 ft lbs on 91 octane fuel.   As you can see, the engine did better.

Using the Electromotive EFI system and their distributorless waste spark ignition system this engine managed to produce an average of 600 ft lbs or torque from just off idle to 4800 RPM and 586 HP!  This engine is a "Tire Shredder"!

We delivered the engine to Kenny today  and we were filmed and interviewed by RIDES.  Show aired on January 25 2005.  There was also a special article in Mopar Collectors Guide and Mopar Muscle covering the technical details of the engine itself.
